How refinancing your car loan works at Heartland

Refinancing replaces your current loan with a new Heartland loan, ideally at terms that fit you better. The path looks like this:

Step 1. Check that you qualify for membership. You are eligible if you live, work, worship, or attend school in southern Wisconsin, or are an immediate family member of a current member.

Step 2. Gather your loan and vehicle details. You will need information about your current loan and your vehicle when you apply.

Step 3. Apply. Use the online auto loan application or apply in person at any branch location.

Step 4. Close the loan and get the rebate. After your new loan funds, the 1% cash-back rebate (up to $200) is deposited to your account within 30 days.

Where to find current vehicle refinance rates

Heartland publishes its vehicle loan rates on its rates page, with rates organized by vehicle model year and loan term, including minimum loan amounts for longer terms. Your rate depends on factors like the age of your vehicle and the term you choose, so the rates page is the place to see today's numbers before you apply. The page covers cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, motor homes, and recreational vehicles.
