Card Controls with SecurLOCK™ Equip

SecurLOCK™ Equip lets you control and monitor your Heartland debit and credit cards using your mobile phone. With SecurLOCK™ Equip you can protect your cards from fraud and toggle your card on and off should you misplace it.

Turn card ON and OFF

Toggle individual debit or credit cards on and off with the touch of a button. All transactions, except for recurring payments, will be denied until you turn your card back on. Misplace your debit card? Use the app to turn your card off and then turn it back on when you find it!


Manage spending limits

Create and control spending limits for your debit or credit cards. Transaction will be denied if they exceed the transaction speed limits you have created.


Manage Merchant and Transaction types

Transaction controls allow you to disable or enable certain types of transactions such as in-store, eCommerce, ATMs, and phone orders. Restrict or enable specific merchant types such as department stores, gas stations, restaurants, and more!


Location and travel settings

Select geographic locations where cards can be used. Update international travel plans to allow transactions when traveling. Enable locations to deny transactions if device and merchant locations don't match

SecurLOCK™ Equip Mobile App FAQ

  • SecurLOCK™ Equip is a mobile app that allows you to control how, when, and where your Heartland debit and/or credit cards are used. It is a simple and secure way to manage and monitor your card transaction activity. SecurLOCK™ Equip can help you keep your cards safe and provide instant notifications about card usage.

  • SecurLOCK™ Equip requires you to have a Heartland debit or credit card. You will also need an Apple or Android smartphone. After downloading the app, you will be instructed to enter your full card information as well as additional authentication information. Once registered, you can begin using the app immediately.

  • Nope! SecurLOCK™ Equip is provided at no cost, it is free to download and use.

  • You can begin using the service immediately following registration. When turning the card off, the little green button in the top right corner of the card image will turn to red. This means that all transactions (except recurring) will be declined. When ready to make a purchase, you can turn the card back on instantly.

    In addition to the card on/off function, you can start selectively setting controls and alerts by channel (in-store, online, mobile, ATM, etc.). You can also set transaction spend limits, select geographic locations where the card can be used, set specific merchant categories, view recent transaction history, receive real-time alerts and much more.

  • No. Using card controls does not change the status of your account.

  • Controls and alerts come into effect immediately after you save your preferences.

  • Simply download the app to your new smartphone and login with your current user id and password. Your control preferences will remain in place, but your alert preferences will need to be reset.

  • A password is required to login to the app. Additionally, the app does not store personal information on your mobile device and will only ever display the last four digits of your card number
