At Heartland Credit Union, we have a digital branch designed to meet our members and prospective members wherever they are. We know not everyone can always make it to a physical branch, so we have made it easier to meet with us from anywhere using your computer or smartphone.

Our digital branch offers the same services a physical branch can in a much more convenient and efficient platform. There’s no more waiting in line at a branch or waiting on hold for a phone call. With one click, you can talk to a live Heartland agent about anything you need our assistance with. Let’s explore our digital banking processes and features:

Our agents are available to open accounts, help with account maintenance, digital banking, financial coaching, and pretty much anything else you can do at a physical branch.
Live Video, Voice, and Text Chat via Online Platforms

  • Look for the “Let’s talk!” bubble on our website or mobile app.
  • Choose your preferred method: voice, video, or chat.
  • Connect with an agent from Heartland.
  • Real, local Heartland agents are live Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  • After hours, members can leave a message that will be returned by 9:00 AM the following business day.
  • If you’re traveling and cannot call, simply video chat with us! Members overseas with no means to use their phones can opt for a video call.

Screen Sharing and Co-Browsing With Agents

  • This makes troubleshooting issues a breeze, as we can see your screens in real time and even control your screen for you (if you choose).

Virtual Appointment Scheduling

  • Select your branch, service, and time that works best for your schedule.
  • We will send you a meeting link to join and a friendly reminder before the appointment.
  • We have integrated DocuSign to review and sign sensitive documents over video calls.

Mobile Deposit
Skip a trip to a branch! Deposit checks from the comfort of your home using your smartphone.

  • Log in to the Heartland mobile app.
  • Click the “deposit check” icon on the bottom and select your account.
  • Take a picture of the front and back of the check, and you’re done! You’ll receive an email confirmation/alert that a check was submitted.
  • Most deposits are available immediately, while some checks may be flagged for manual review.
  • Our system recognizes checks already deposited, so you cannot duplicate them.
  • Once a check has been deposited, it’s safe to destroy the check after two weeks.

Digital Wallets
All Heartland’s debit and credit cards are compatible with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.

  • Add your Heartland card to the digital wallet of your choice.
  • Use your phone to make tap-to-pay payments where accepted. This is much easier and faster at checkout. Just pull out your phone and tap to pay instantly.
  • Using a digital wallet is safer since it is stored behind the biometrics you use to log in to your smartphone and then again to access the wallet.
  • If you lose your physical card or physical wallet, a scammer will have instant access to your card. It is much harder to obtain and access your smartphone and digital wallet.
